Boyce Batey is the Executive Secretary of the academy formed in 1972 as an academic affiliate of the SPIRITUAL purposes are threefold: FIRST, to encourage dialogue, exchange of ideas and cooperation between clergy and academics of religion and philosophy and scientists, researchers and academics of all scientific and humanistic disciplines in the fields of psychical research and new disciplines as well as the historic sciences. SECOND, to conduct an education program for these scholars, the Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship membership and the general public, blending data already available in the area of their common interest with the interchange of views stimulated in these scholars, to the end that both the scientific and religion communities may be better informed about such facts and views and their propriety, value and respectability. THIRD, to work closely with, and offer good offices to, all reputable organizations having related interests in the fields of education, religion, science and psychical research. The ACADEMY will endeavor to sponsor conferences and symposia for the presentation of scholarly data, points of view, and interchange of ideas in the area where religion and psychical research interface; publish papers resulting from such meetings and other appropriate materials on this area that will be of interest to academics, scientists and clergy; and monitor, evaluate, explain and report the significant data in this area for the benefit of scholars. in the field of psychotherapy. She received a Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Connecticut in 1985. She is licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health as a Clinical Social Worker. In her clinical practice, Lynn specialized in the treatment of Schizophrenia and Major Affective disorders. Also, she is a specialist in Emergency Psychiatric evaluation and treatment planning. Currently, Lynn is co-owner of Mystical Horizons, the New Age store in Old Mystic, CT. She is the featured Tarot reader and Astrologer there. In addition, Lynn provides readings by telephone, both nationally and internationally. She teaches metaphysical and self-help courses and conducts spiritual retreats to Sedona, Arizona. Lynn consults with Corporate Executives on enhancing business creativity. She has appeared on radio, television and had her own metaphysical radio program entitled, "In the Spirit". Lynn has also made videos on how to read Tarot cards, called "The Magical Tarot" and a video for beginning astrology students titled, "New Age Astrology." Both are for sale at Mystical Horizons. Another project, "The Emotional Healing Cards" is a book and deck set designed for the healing of emotions.
