reveal a mysterious realization that your true nature is consciousness itself;
empty, formless, unborn, undying, silent, and inherently full of love. This direct
recognition returns one to peace, to feeling at home, to being the source of
experience, and of creation itself. This realization has been the essential core
of all mysticism throughout recorded history. It is of this which Buddha speaks,
it is of this which the Upanishads sing, this is the song of Rumi, Kabir, and
Lao Tzu. Many Christian mystics and commentators also feel that it is this of
which Jesus speaks when he says, "I and the Father are one," and "the Kingdom

Kathleen Reid, a businesswoman and mother living in the high desert of southern
California, became severely depressed while in her 30s. Over a 10-year period
her depression deepened, and Katie spent almost two years seldom able to leave
her bed, obsessing over suicide. Then one morning, from the depths of despair,
she experienced a life-changing realization. Katie
saw that when she believed that something should be different than it is (“My
husband should love me more,” “My children should appreciate me”) she
suffered, and that when she didn’t believe these thoughts, she felt peace. She
realized that what had been causing her depression was not the world around her,
but the beliefs she had about the world around her. In a flash of insight, Katie
saw that our attempt to find happiness was backward—instead of hopelessly
trying to change the world to match our thoughts about how it should be, we can

I’m the founder, director, and passionate dreamologist of the

Sandy
is a co-founder of the Center for Universal Truth along with her husband,
Kirk, who is the music director. Sandy's faith has long been rooted in new thought/ancient wisdom philosophy.
That foundation helped her not only survive but triumph over the most excruciating pain a woman can experience – the loss of a child. Her journey to the ministry began in 1992 after the tragic, sudden death of her teenage daughter, Tara, in a car accident.

Pierce once lived the so-called American dream. She earned a six-figure income
as an attorney, wore expensive silk suits, and spent her vacations at lavish
resorts. But after practicing law for 10 years, she realized that the price tag
