the saying goes, "Summer Bacon and some aren't."
That's what Summer's friends said about her in high school. Today, Summer
is recognized as the clearest and most authentic Trance Medium of our time. She
lives and works in Arizona and channels for hundreds of people each month at
special events, group sessions, private sessions, and workshops. Tirelessly
committed to demystifying mysticism, she offers free mini-seminars and lectures
on the topics of channeling in integrity, how to develop one's mystical
abilities, and how to apply these abilities to daily life in a practical way.
She often counsels people in understanding that living a spiritually conscious
life does not have to be separate from day to day 3-dimensional living, for

walks of life evolved from decades of what she calls being "chased by the

Summer struggled to find answers for why these things occurred...and, were they
real? Meanwhile, she went to U.C.L.A. and earned a degree in English Literature,
found employment at ABC TV, worked as Promotions Coordinator for the game show
Super Password, and later became Director of Employee Benefits and Director of
Communications for a human resources company.
In 1988 her quest ultimately lead her to Trance Medium and mentor Thomas
Jacobson, through whom she received comforting guidance in understanding her
mystical nature. It was through Thomas that Summer first met Dr. Peebles.
Fascinated by the channeling process, and devastated when Thomas quit his work,
Summer embarked on a quest to "find" Dr. Peebles herself. A
self-taught Trance Medium, Summer worked for seven years practicing the art of
trance mediumship until, at along last, on December 4, 1994 Dr. Peebles spoke
through her for the first time. Although
she was heavily involved in her home based graphic design business, Summer spent
time after hours, on weekends, and during breaks to channel for friends, family
members and others who requested her help. For the next three years she did free
sessions, channeling hundreds of dearly departed loved ones for anyone who
requested one, and always with Dr. Peebles acting as the "Gatekeeper."
After her divorce, she closed her business and was left to provide for her two
young children. She was determined that she would never channel professionally,
but her soul seemed to have something else in mind. Unable to find employment
for the first time ever, behind in rent, with nothing but buttered noodles three
meals a day, Summer finally relented and did her first professional public
session with Dr. Peebles at the helm. The rest is history.
The Open Sessions that were held in her living room
expanded over the years, and she now holds "donations only" Open
Sessions in Sedona, Arizona every month, with over one hundred people in
attendance. Summer has been involved in special projects,
including haunting investigations, "ghost busting," and remote

Over the years the work I offer has evolved, just
as I have. This all began during my own healing crisis back in the middle 90's
when I suffered an illness that the doctors could not accurately diagnose.
After
a few years of searching and not finding help through traditional avenues I
decided that if I was going to be well again it was up to me to heal myself.
The next week I had what I now know to have been a
spontaneous kundalini awakening. I blacked out for a few moments and
"saw" silver lightning shoot up my back. I began to
"sense" beyond the normal senses. I'd know things about
people…if they had problems in their relationships, or things that would be happening
before they happened. I began to "see" peoples past lives and
how these past experiences were sometimes repeating themselves in this
current life. As I opened to my clairvoyance, I began to have
experiences with a Being that had the body of a human and a head of a very large
bird with a very long beak. I came to know this great Being to be the
Egyptian God Thoth. Thoth
began to show me how to do healing work and how to hold a space. I now had
and things began to move very rapidly. I
was beginning to feel better. I
began
taking a basic psychic training class that taught how to ground and become aware
of my energy and aura. Life began to take on a different hue. I was
slowly but surely feeling better and I had a strong desire to begin helping
others with the unique gifts that seemed to be surfacing. I began to work
on people I knew. I felt in the beginning that I could help anyone and
that everyone should listen to me. I was a bit over zealous to say the
least. I would say that I even lost friends over it in the beginning !
Over the years this changed, and so did I. I learned when and how to use
these gifts properly. Now I'm not
only healthy but my life is much better than before I had my crisis.
I've studied with other teachers/healers taking
some of what they have offered and made it my own. I
have developed my own "work" that seems to work through me and not by
me. The work is influenced and supported by the energies of Archangel
Michael, Thoth, Merlin, the Ascended Masters, Enoch, Christ, Buddha and the
Universe at large. I am now working with the energies of The Beloved
as well. This is a very loving energy that is connected to the process
happening on the Earth at this time. The Beloved's message is always
addressing the true Source Essence of who we truly are, have always been and

Kathy combines contemporary psychotherapy with a
traditional Mesoamerican healing practice known as Curanderismo. Curanderismo is
an ancient healing modality well known in Latino communities throughout the
Americas that includes herbology, shamanic practices, sweat lodges known as
temascales, and other spiritual practices, to restore a state of harmony between
the individual, the environment and spiritual forces. Illness in
Curanderismo is conceptualized as a result of an organism being in a state of
disequilibrium. Illness can be caused by trauma, a lack of harmony in
relationships and through poor relationship with Spirit, among other causes.
As part of her doctoral program in
Marriage and Family Transpersonal Psychology, Dr. Mohr-Almeida conducted studies
and fieldwork with curanderos in central and southern Mexico. Her doctoral work
included research on Curanderismo and Traumatology, which took her to rural,
urban and jungle settings in central and southern Mexico. Dr. Mohr-Almeida
discovered that Curanderismo practices have addressed a trauma-based condition
known as "susto" for millennia, while Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
has only recently been acknowledged by the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Mohr-Almeida became interested in how Mesoamerican healers have successfully
treated susto. As a result of this study, Dr. Mohr-Almeida created a model of
treatment which incorporates the best practices from contemporary psychotherapy
a
nd Curanderismo. Contemporary psychotherapeutic practices address issues from a
cognitive stance only. This practice does not take advantage of the individual's
strengths, the natural supports within the individual's community, or the
personal competencies of the individual. Dr. Mohr-Almeida takes advantage of all
the resources available to the individual, thereby increasing the positive
outcomes of treatment. In
addition to her doctoral degree, Dr. Mohr-Almeida has completed an
apprenticeship with an elder in Curanderismo and studied with healers from

all my life I've been able to
‘see’ into other dimensions and speak with angels and my guides, Jesus and
Mary. I had visions while awake and asleep. At times I knew before anyone
else, future events that would be taking place. There were ‘dreams’ of

Journal’. In 1985, my dreams and visions
intensified and I saw future world disasters and the Earth turning over on
its axis. Yet I was told by the Angels that this has happened 5 times
before and I should not fear, but trust in God and his Angels. I was also shown
days in the Golden Millennium that is The Thousand Years of Peace, also known as
'The Seventh Day' when God rested. Soon to come. (See Genesis in the
Bible) In 1987, I was awakened by a loud voice calling to me. “Karita
Ornivette!” I had no idea what that was about , so I wrote down what I heard
and saw. It was written in the air over my bed. In 1989, during an Akashic
Life Reading, I was informed by Ashlem that my name in the Brotherhood of
Light (Spiritual Hierarchy) is Karita. It is the sound of my soul and the name
of my Guardian Angel. My 'brothers and family
