Africa Where a smiling face and warm embrace will greet you!
"No
Man is an Island, No man stands alone.
Each
man’s joy is joy to me. Each
man’s grief is my own.
We
need one another, so I will defend, Each man as my brother, each man as my friend.”

Cape Town South Africa
“Desmond Tuto Peace Centre”
the world. While his vigorous anti-apartheid activism in his native South Africa first propelled him into the glare of international news media, today he is revered as a “moral voice” and someone who speaks with gravitas on a range of issues. While he is an Anglican Archbishop emeritus and thus unflinching in his religious beliefs, Tutu also places great value on religious inclusiveness and interfaith dialogue. The overarching aim of the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust, from its conception in 1998, has been to establish the physical Peace Centre. A major breakthrough occurred in December 2003 when the City of Cape Town entered into a formal relationship with the Trust to jointly establish the Centre. The Centre will memorialize one of South Africa’s most beloved leaders as it will offers visitors a unique experience to stimulate personal reflection and growth. Formal learning, through courses and other interventions, will form part of the Centre’s work, in addition to offering “quiet spaces” as well as various exhibitions focusing on peace. Conferred The Nobel Peace Award in 1984. Website: www.tutu.org

"Dream for Africa" I went to visit Africa and I will never be the same. It was as if someone had reached into my chest and pulled out my heart and said, "Now, follow your heart." And that is exactly what I have done....I have followed my heart to Africa and I am asking you to join me! For the last few years I have lived in Africa and have been researching and implementing solutions to major issues like hunger, orphans, poverty and AIDS. These pandemics are clouding people's hope for the future. As the numbers of those dying from starvation and disease continue to grow the need in Africa looms larger than life.Dream for Africa is a faith-based humanitarian movement that mobilizes volunteers from various nations to achieve enduring solutions in sub-Sahara Africa related to hunger and food security, orphans and vulnerable children, poverty alleviation, and AIDS prevention. Bruce is the author of The Prayer of Jabez and A Life God Rewards. Bruce and Darlene divide their time between Africa and Georgia. Go to "Sacred Travel" section for more information.
